Communications Specialist Local outreach & Project Branding (Maternity cover)

Are you passionate about sustainability and skilled in community engagement? Do you want to help shape how local communities in Denmark — and beyond — understand and support the green transition? Then join us as our new Communications Specialist.

Innargi is a geothermal heating company founded in 2017, owned by A.P. Moller Holding, ATP, and NRGi. Our mission is to heat millions of urban homes — while leaving zero impact on our planet — by unlocking the potential of geothermal energy.

Geothermal facilities are, by design, located in urban environments. This means local engagement is essential to everything we do. Genuine, professional, and open dialogue with stakeholders and citizens is not just important — it’s a prerequisite for success.

Your role
As Communications Specialist, you will be working with our local outreach efforts in Denmark, with a special focus on the construction of our flagship project in Aarhus — the EU’s largest geothermal district heating plant.

You will also drive the branding of our Danish projects, from strategy to execution. This includes shaping how our work in Denmark is presented to future customers abroad — by developing and sharing the most compelling stories from the ground.

The position is based at our headquarters in Copenhagen, with the option to work from our project office in Aarhus.

The position is a 12-month maternity cover

We are looking for:

You hold a degree in communications, journalism, social science, or a related field, and have a few years of experience (full-time or part-time)
with communication and outreach — ideally in connection with sustainability, energy, or infrastructure projects.

You’re someone who:
• Is passionate about sustainability and wants to help communities decarbonise heat.

• Is both hands-on and strategic, with a good understanding of political communication and campaigns.

• Communicates clearly and vividly across channels and formats.

• Is driven and motivated to play an active part in functional as well as cross-functional teams.

• Is fluent in Danish and has excellent written and spoken English.

About us
Innargi is a small, entrepreneurial, highly energised, and fast-growing organisation. As a team, we see our different backgrounds and experiences as a genuine source of strength, and we respect each other’s technical and functional competencies.

Our structure is lean and flat. We believe strongly in value creation through empowering our employees, and you will have significant independence to impact your role as well as be expected to collaborate across disciplines.

You will join a small but growing External Relations team. The External Relations team is responsible for Public Affairs and Regulatory, Internal and External Communication, Stakeholder and Neighbour Communication and Branding. We all have a variety of tasks to carry out, and we pull together to accomplish our goals. In your everyday work, you will collaborate closely with the rest of the External Relations team as well as the Danish project teams.

You will be responsible to the Chief External Relations Officer.

You must have a valid work permit for Denmark

We look very much forward to hearing from you

Deadline for applications: 11 June, 2025 We will continuously review the applications and call for interviews.

Please send your application to HR at HR@innargi.com
