Job Description
Join the LEGO Group as the LEGO Retail Senior Media Planning Manager — a leader shaping the future of data-driven marketing at one of the world’s most beloved brands. In this role you will be responsible for the charge in delivering data-driven, high-impact digital media campaigns that connect the LEGO Group with millions of fans in with our LEGO Retail direct-to-consumer (D2C) business. This role combines critical thinking, cross-functional leadership, and deep platform expertise to help build our media approach in a fast-evolving digital landscape.
As a D2C media expert, you’ll guide campaign strategy and execution. You’ll build strong collaborations inside the company and with outside partners. You will also ensure our media investments meet brand and commercial goals for our D2C LEGO Retail business.

Core Responsibilities
Media Strategy & Vision - Drive and Implement the LEGO Group’s media planning for LEGO Retail D2C, ensuring alignment with brand, marketing, and business objectives across channels and other teams. Including championing a data-driven, consumer-centric approach to media planning and buying that drives both long-term brand equity and short-term performance.
Investment Stewardship & Governance - Establish ensure global standards are followed and met for LEGO Retail, balancing marketing goals with commercial returns, delivering the strongest return the for the LEGO Groups
Stakeholder & Executive Influence -Serve as a LEGO Retail subject matter expert for paid media, engaging with executive leadership, BU HoM, and external partners to drive alignment and advocacy, ensuring LEGO Retail plans are seamlessly connected to our wider brand efforts.
Team Leadership & Capability Building - Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing LEGO Retail Media Planning team, while coaching broader teams on best practices, innovation, and executional excellence. This includes fostering a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and continuous learning across internal and external media agency partners.
Innovation, Tech & Ecosystem Strategy - Stay at the forefront of industry trends, technologies, and platforms (e.g., AI, retail media, cookie deprecation) to future-proof our digital media strategy.
Do you have what it takes?
- Experience in digital and traditional media, within a leadership role at a top-tier brand, tech company, or agency.
- Shown success leading media transformation, digital innovation, or data-driven marketing at scale.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience leading multimillion-dollar global media investments.
- Deep knowledge of the media landscape, ad tech ecosystem, and evolving privacy/regulatory environment.
- Exceptional executive presence, with the ability to influence key stakeholders and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Consistent record of leading media agency relationships internally and externally.
- Passion for building inclusive teams, developing talent, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- A commitment to purpose-driven, ethical marketing in line with the LEGO Group’s values and mission.
- English language both written and spoken at a professional proficiency level is important.
- Ability to work 3 days from our office in Copenhagen (2 days working from home)
