Anmeldelse: I to nye bogudgivelser – "Original Sin" af Jake Tapper og Alex Thompson samt "Fight" af Jonathan Allen og Amie Parnes – stilles de altafgørende spørgsmål om Demokraternes dramatiske nederlag i 2024-valget. Hvad gik galt? 

Narrativet i begge bøger kredser om det, Tapper og Thompson kalder for "den oprindelige synd": Bidens svigtende kognitive formåen og hans omgangskreds' bevidste tilsløring af hans alderdomssvækkelse. Det mest bemærkelsesværdige er ikke den historiske debat i Atlanta, hvor Biden til sidst smuldrede foran et chokeret publikum, men den systematiske og velorkestrerede indsats for at skjule hans kognitive tilbagegang i årene op til.

Ergo: Fokusér på kommentarer – ikke kun likes. At folk kommenterer dine opslag vægtes ekstremt højt og har aldrig været vægtet mere end nu. En kommentar har således op til 15 gange større betydning for et opslags rækkevidde end et like. Altsammen fordi LinkedIn kæmper en desperat og vigtig kamp for at beskytte og fremme den dybe faglige samtale.

Det er den som lever i kommentarfeltet, jo bedre, jo længere og jo flere kommentarer jo mere faglig samtale.

Problemets kerne er en usamtidighed i betydning fra positiv til negativ. Brugen af emojis spreder sig langsomt op af alderspyramiden. Når ældre medarbejdere begynder at bruge en emoji, er den typisk forlængst blevet en kliché og gået fra positiv til negativ blandt Generation Z.

De kliché-ramte emojis bliver de yngre irriteret over, mens dem som har skiftet mening kan skabe de modsatte effekter af den betydning, man ønsker som ældre-vi-vil-være-med-på-emoji-bølge

The latest 2025 Cision and PRWeek Comms Report surveyed more than 300 PR pros and confirmed what we’ve all been watching unfold: 51% of them plan to lean harder on #earned #social #media to drive their strategies this year. Not because it’s trendy, but because it’s essential. At Keep Left we've been talking about this a lot with our own clients, those who still see #PR and #social as separate streams. It's a conversation that feels almost nostalgic at this point because that division is just semantics. PR is social. It’s where crises are managed, brands are built, and audiences get to weigh in often before you’ve even had your morning coffee. And it’s not just about managing disasters or putting out fires; it’s about listening. #Social #listening tools have given PR teams the superpower of real-time sentiment analysis, spotting issues before they go nuclear and tweaking messaging on the fly. Case in point: the ‘Yes, Couch!’ campaign by Facebook Marketplace. If you’ve been too busy spiralling down AI rabbit holes and debating the ChatGPT em dashes, here’s the backstory: In January 2024, Calvin Klein dropped its spring campaign with Jeremy Allen White, the star of The Bear, sprawled across a red corduroy couch on a NYC rooftop. The campaign did its job: people fawned over White and Calvin Klein, but it was the humble red corduroy that became the star of the show across memes, threads, TikToks. People wanted to know where to get that couch. Enter Facebook Marketplace. They saw an opportunity. They tracked down the couch from the shoot and listed it. But this wasn’t just about sourcing a quirky prop; it was about capitalising on a #viral moment and injecting Facebook Marketplace right into the centre of it. The listing exploded. It was on TikTok, Twitter, the NY Times, TMZ, Hypebeast...you name it. Even Drew Barrymore gave away the couch on her show. In a single move, they repositioned the platform not just as a place to buy second-hand goods, but as a cultural curator with its finger firmly on the pulse. And the results speak for themselves: 🔥 2.7 billion earned media impressions 🔥 90% positive sentiment 🔥 5.3% spike in daily active users (that’s 150 million people, by the way) This wasn’t a million-dollar campaign. It was nimble, it was cheeky, and it happened at the speed of a trending hashtag. Remember, in 2025 social media is PR’s natural environment. And if you’re not evolving to thrive in it, you’re on the fast track to extinction. How Gen AI Is Transforming Market Research
While gen AI is already having a profound impact on marketing activities like customer service and content creation, it has the potential to be absolutely revolutionary in another area: market research. After spending two years studying the technology’s use there, two professors believe that gen AI offers firms unprecedented opportunities to understand customers, better assess the competitive environment, and push data-driven decision-making deep into their organizations. These fall into four categories: supporting current practices for collecting data and generating insights by making them faster, cheaper, or easier to scale up; replacing current practices by leveraging synthetic data (artificially generated data that mimics real people’s behaviors and preferences); filling existing gaps in market understanding by obtaining insights and evidence that aren’t available in conventional data; and creating new types of data and insights (often with the use of digital twins).
